Franco-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industries CCIFEC, organizers of the Ecuadorian Chocolate, Cocoa and Coffee Show, launched the first contest to create the best chocolate bonbon "Ecuador in a Bonbon", where a bonbon filled with distinctive elements of the country was presented.
We achieved third place, with a 73% cocoa chocolate that we call: Bombón en las altas, due to its ingredients that are produced at altitudes between 1000 to 4000 meters above sea level.
In the design of the chocolate, a yellow lacquer was used that represents the richness of the Ecuadorian territory. Two shades of green were also used, light and dark; representing nature and its fertility.
Crushed cocoa nibs were placed simulating the land that produces our flowers and fruits.
A chocoplasticine Rose was made that symbolizes the variety of flora of our country.
Finally, we have a chocolate snowfall with 73% cocoa and white chocolate, which is a sample of the natural wealth that Ecuador has, its mountains and snowcapped mountains.
The chocolate was made with a chocolate shell with a percentage of 73% cocoa.
The ingredients of the filling are inspired by the colada morada, which is a typical drink from Ecuador.
Spice ganache (cloves, ishpingo, cinnamon, sweet pepper)
